Galaxy Painting
One of our art creations this term.
The children started off by looking at pictures of space and the galaxy. It was a great opportunity to combine a bit of art and knowledge and understanding of the world. The children started off by mixing colours in test tubes which proved very engaging.
The children then used water coloured paper which they wet first using a spray bottle. Next, they used pippets to drop colour onto our dampened paper and waited for the magic to happen! The children then left them to dry.
The next part involved the children drawing their space picture using art pencils. The children were able to use their imagination and explore the composition of the page. The children drew rockets, astronauts, planets and used star stickers. The children have had a wonderful time and created some amazing masterpieces!
