Under the Sea
Activities around the seaside
The children had a fabulous time exploring the seaside through a range of activities. The children enjoyed the seaside tuff spot tray, with sea creatures and boats in the sea and shells and sea creatures in the sand. Oh, don't forget the dazzling rock pools!
The children had a challenge to draw a seaside while wearing sunglasses. This was a particular favourite, especially with all that rain we had last week. The children really used their imagination and began by closing their eyes and remembering a trip to the seaside either in England or abroad. The children also had the opportunity to decorate a fish they used a variety of different materials, paper ranging from different coloured to tissue paper, feathers, wool and sequins. I was so impressed with their individuality and the fact that some of the children included seaweed for their fish to swim behind. The children spent quality time on their creations and really took pride in their work. Wow Reception children!
