Mrs Worth had collected some conkers in their shells. She gave each child a conker shell and the children talked about how spiky the cases were and how you had to hold them carefully. Each child then separated the case and unveiled a conker inside. Two children were particularly lucky as they found two conkers inside one of the cases. These conkers were named as the "Conker Twins". The children's excitement on their faces was something special when they found what was hiding inside their conker shell. The children then made pictures using the conkers. We had a lot of Little Red Hens, linking to our Harvest story. Keep being inspired by your learning.
