Skegness Aquarium

The theme of the day was under the sea! (well .... with a few added extras!) The KS1 children travelled by coach on a sunny Thursday to visit the wonderful aquarium in Skegness. After many 'Are we there yet?' questions, we safely arrived and split into groups to explore. The children were fascinated by the incredible fish tanks and listened carefully whilst they received an informative tank talk. A floor to ceiling glass tank included a multitude of different fish, string rays and sharks! The children then used their creative skills during their draw alive session. The children coloured in a range of sea creatures before they appeared and began to swim on the interactive screen! Whilst not ocean habitat themed, the children loved exploring dino-land! The moving dinosaurs were fantastic and the children were able to explore the large sand pit, digging for fossils! The children were a pleasure to take on the trip and the staff at the aquarium praised their behaviour and manners during the experience. Well done KS1!
